Name; Delphine Auzric
Nicknames;The Executioner
Age; 24
Place of birth; Dumary Island
Species; Half demon, half human
Physical appearance;
5'2
120 lbs
She has spell tattoos on her body that allow demon channeling.
Personality; Delphine tends to come off as standoffish, or even cold, but that's only because she's a little bit socially awkward. In actuality, she's quite friendly and talkative. She'll go out of her way to help people, and she's always out to have fun. On the flip side, she has deep seated trust issues, and makes it a point not to ever trust anyone completely, or even get to close to them. She's been shown over and over that people aren't to be trusted. However, she doesn't let that fact keep her from making friends, she simply doesn't get too comfortable. Her complete inner motives are known only to her and her family, as she doesn't want to divulge information to the wrong person. Delphine isn't quick to judge people, though she has to make a conscious effort not to be suspicious of each and every demon she comes across. She's a bit cocky, and comes off as rude at times, subtlety eludes her
entirely and bluntness is her best friend. Being stubborn is one of her greatest faults, second only to her volatile temper which she has the habit of inflicting on whoever pisses her off first. She could learn a few things about being patient and less brash, but what she lacks in docility she makes up for in loyalty and optimism.
Abilities;
Hand to Hand Combat
Delphine is a fairly skilled fighter, and has some training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido.
Heightened Strength[/u]
Because of her half demon heritage, she can do things like lift heavy objects or break downs walls with little effort.
Moderate Regeneration
If wounded, Delphine's body repairs itself at a fairly rapid rate.
Demon Channeling
When she impales herself on Kusanagi no Tsurugi, it activates a channeling and she can acquire the ability of a demon. She can only channel demons that she's made a blood pact with, and Kusanagi no Tsurugi is the only sword that can be used for this act. The demons she can channel thus far are:
Lilith, the Mesopotamian Storm Demon
*Channeling Lilith enables Delphine to control weather, using winds and moisture in the air to create hurricanes.
Leviathan, the Chaos Dragon
*Channeling Leviathan grants her the power of enhanced speed and fluid movement. She also is able to elongate her
limbs, and one hand alone has the crushing power of three thousand tons.
Astarte, Queen of the Spirits of the Dead
*Channeling Astarte allows Delphine to control spirits, from possessing people to simply using the spirits as distracting poltergeists.
Alignment; Good
Affiliation; None
Weapons;
Delphine has three different weapons, a pair of fans, an axe, and a sword.
Dual fans - Bellatrix and Bordeaux
When Delphine uses them they create an intense, sharp vibration in the wind that enables their handler to inflict deep cuts on their opponents, even from a distance. It's like a ripple in the wind, with sharp edges. Aside from their basic use, each fan has a different skill. Bellatrix has the ability to inflict frostbite, which will get progressively worse. If left untreated, it will continue until the flesh rots off completely. Bordeaux's is the opposite, inflicting small burns. Like frostbite, the burns do not heal over time and will proceed to
rot the flesh. These weapons were created for her by her father, who is a very skilled magician.
Executioner's Axe - Ausdrucken
Delphine's signature weapon that inspired her nickname, she carries a giant axe with her. She is able to use it with surprising speed and accuracy. People are often fatally mistaken, expecting a small girl as herself to wield it poorly or, oafishly at best. Delphine makes a habit of rendering her opponent immobile, before decapitating them ruthlessly. It is double edged and about twice her size, and she has the compulsion to polish it obsessively.
Greatsword - Kusanagi no Tsurugi
Delphine acquired the legendary sword at the Atsuta Shrine shortly after leaving home, in hopes to increase her chances of one day defeating Mundus. While it looks ordinary enough, this sword allows her to channel demons, making her significantly more powerful. The power she acquires varies depending on the demon she channels. Delphine has rarely used this, as she injures herself in the process.
History; Born to a human father and demon mother on Dumary Island, Delphine is the eldest of four children. She had
a very good upbringing, both of her parents being very loving and nurturing people. Her father, Allo, is a magician and a former guardian priest of the Vie De Marli on Dumary Island. His background is kept entirely private, and he knows no other surviving priests. He met Delphine's mother, Arella when she came to Dumary Island. Her family abandoned her to properly care for her "superior" siblings. Because she was more emotionally sensitive and much more compassionate, she was seen as weak and a disgrace to the family. Eight years after Delphine was born, her parents
had a set of twins, Charlotte and Merriweather. Two years after that, a boy named Veda.
When Mundus defeated Dante, Delphine's naivety led her to believe that the integration of worlds would be a positive thing. As time progressed and their island was destroyed, her expectations were crushed and she began to loathe demons, not understanding why they would be so destructive and hateful towards humans. Though it was difficult, her family stayed on the island and Delphine became more and more interested in the fallen Dante. she learned as much as she could about him, and began to idolize him. Delphine's mother tried to dissuade her from going down the path of hating her own kind, and it worked to some extent, but nothing could stop Delphine's pigheadedness. After a while of watching her family try to survive, she knew that something needed to be done. She hated watching her siblings grow up in that kind of environment and wanted better for them. When she was 17, Delphine decided to become a demon hunter, in hopes to help the restoration of her island and the rest of the world, so her younger siblings don't
have to suffer anymore. Her father created the dual fans for her, in exchange that she stay on the island for three years and train before she ventured out. Delphine agreed to this condition, and began training immediately. At twenty years old, the deal with her father was done and she prepared to set out. Her mother gave Delphine the giant battle ax that she had constructed over the last three years, confident that her daughter would be able to wield it
brilliantly. With blessings from her parents, Delphine set out on her mission and left her home, heading for the City of Mortis. After four years, Delphine has become a very skilled demon hunter and only grows more and more determined to succeed in ridding the world of Mundus. She spends most of her time around the Winter of Discontent, simply because she enjoys the weather.
