Name; Vexzeleratus Ka Lagurus
Nicknames; Vexzel, Blood Prince, the Basilisk, Shinigami
Age; Appears to be 22, real age estimated near 340
Place of birth; Unknown village in Germany
Species; Vampire
Physical appearance; img134.imageshack.us/img134/5906/lelouchlamperougecapeby.jpg to be put into words, Vexzel is tall by human standards, 7 feet 6 inches. His hair is pitch black, and mostly cut to neck-length trimmed shortly around his face. His eyes are a light purple and betray nothing of what he is thinking. A symbol much like a blood-red bird shines in the pupil of his right eye, a mark left by a restraining curse on his powers. Normally, it is dim enough to still see his pupil, but it begins to glow as Vexzel uses his supernatural powers
His thin body hides an unnatural strength with an almost fluid grace of movement. He carries himself the air of a nobleman and tends to favor elaborate clothing. Normally wearing light demon-leather armor under his clothes.
Personality; Cold; almost devoid of any emotions, with a glare like a diamond-tipped drill. His thoughts are almost never readable on his face. He cares little about the survival of others and ruthlessness is almost second nature to him. Vexzel is impolite, boarder-lining on rude, due to his general arrogance. Over ninety percent of all over life forms are below him the way he sees it, unless they can prove him wrong.
Getting on his 'good side' is about as easy as dismantling a glacier with an ice-pick, but it can be done..... Getting him to trust you is another story. It is equally rare to see him angry, usually that will also be among the last things you see, as you will have your life expectancy drop to a matter of seconds( or hours if they're good at fighting back or hiding).
Vexzel is a schemer, and not afraid to get his hands dirty in the process. Sacrifices will be made, but he is not about to let anyone die in vain. Although he views most humans (and demons for that matter!) to be little more than pawns, even a pawn can't be thrown away recklessly.
Abilities; Over the centuries Vexzel has developed a nasty bag of tricks both natural and unnatural. I am a thorough person so this part is long, please bear with me.
Combat Training: Over the years he has been training diligently with various weapons and hand-to-hand combat. He knows various martial arts and military level Close Quarters Combat, along with weapons like Scythes, Dual Swords, and lightly trained with Guns. He never sticks to just one 'style' but instead likes to mix them.
Super-Human Attributes: What Creature of the Night lack the Strength, Speed and Endurance far beyond mere humans? Not Vexzel. Bones are easy to break, most metals can be ripped apart, and the hides of demons flayed off their bodies by his claws. Cars can be thrown with effort it isn't easy, but it can be done.
Speed: yes speed. If the Olympic Sporting Events were not a human-only thing, Vexzel would most likely hold some world-wide sprinting records. Give him a long enough stretch of land and you'll soon lose sight of him. A normal eye has trouble following his movements; a well trained person can track the blur when he is in a full-run. But between his speed and somewhat enhanced reaction times, most demons can only keep up with him for a matter of seconds.
Endurance: Vexzel can take a beating that would kill an ordinary human or lesser demon and still get back up. That being said: His bones still break and he still bleeds. Vexzel will be worn down in time but that could take hours. Don't bet on him being the first to tire(though he will, eventually).
Regeneration: Vexzel can heal at incredible speed. Wounds from normal weapons last a matter of seconds. Blessed or Silver weapons will cause his injuries to delay a minute or so before healing. Nothing short of severing a limb or tearing out a vital organ will really slow him down. Bullets to anything non-vital won't keep him down. Even by Vampire standards Vexzel's regeneration is impressive, so long as he has fed recently.
Shadow-Craft: Similar to demonic power and yet somewhat different. Vexzel has an affinity for Darkness, in the literal sense. His shadow, and those of nearby objects, can rise off the ground, gains substance and become weapons or low grade familiars. These Shadows can be repelled by normal weapons because they have become a physical substance. If a shadow sustains massive physical damage (set on fire, sliced in half, etc.) Vexzel loses his power over it and the shadow returns to its original creature/object.
To him, shadowy corners are like ethereal doors and windows. Vexzel can connect shadows to nearby see areas. Given a good patch of darkness Vexzel is capable of short-ranged teleportation. If it’s under a mile away, nice and dark, Vexzel can be there in a few blinks of the eye. The shadow 'portal' opens only briefly, attempting to follow him can result in being caught in the portal as it closes and having bits of you in both shadowy corners. Not pleasant and possibly fatal.
Blood Control: All vampires drink blood, but how many use it as a weapon? Vexzel can crystallize his blood and use it as a deadly weapon. Red crystalline spikes emerging from wounds and stabbing into the creature that dared draw his blood. He can also solidify the blood under his skin to halt a weapon that would otherwise slash a limb off. Vexzel's crystal blood will stand up to anything short of a Devil Arms type weapon. However, using his blood as a defensive barrier will halt Vexzel's movements. Whatever limb the blood hardens in will be unable to move until the blood returns to its normal liquid form.
Even blood spilled from Vexzel's body is still usable. Thorns can grow out of bloodstains left behind hours ago. So long as Vexzel is nearby any spilt blood of his can be used until it’s been either separated from him for roughly three hours, or 'disarmed' by exposure to a strong demonic or holy power.
After studying blood borne diseases, Vexzel has begun experimenting with making his blood parasitic. If his blood enters the bloodstream of another creature, it will begin attacking the foreign cells resulting in anemia like symptoms. Small amount of blood will eventually wear thin and be handled by the body's immune system. A large dose of Vexzel's blood can ravage the victim's body causing internal bleeding and immune system deficiency.
Any foreign cells coming into contact with Vexzel's cells(Such as the abilities of Delano Frost and Validuc Recubo) will be attacked by this modified blood and most likely devoured to the extent of Necrosis. If your cells actually enter Vexzel's body... They will most likely be 'eaten' and 'digested' by his blood for lack of better terms. Cellular and parasite invasions run the risk of being eaten alive.
All blood abilities are self damaging and accelerate Vexzel's thirst for blood. Due to the parasite blood Vexzel can starve to death if he is unable to feed for about two months. His blood will become cannibalistic and begin breaking down his internal organs.
Unsealed Mode: Similar to most 'Devil Triggers' Vexzel is capable of a short burst of greater power by temporarily removing the seal placed on his own powers. This can only occur when fighting above-average High Demons or when his opponent uses Devil Trigger. It increases Vexzel's normal Strength by 40%, Speed by 60%, Endurance by 20% and drastically increases the strength of his Devil Arms (more on that in weapons section).
This is signaled by the disappearance of the symbol in his right pupil and can last for as long as half an hour(not sure how to translate that into post count) Vexzel himself gains no new abilities, but brings out the fullest power of his Devil Arms, and summon them back-to-back even during the same post.
Weaknesses; After all that I feel the need to point out a few weaknesses. Obviously decapitation will kill Vexzel, it'd kill just about anything. The classic wooden stake through the heart can't be regenerated, but he can still be revived.... it doesn't have to be a stake, just something nice and pointy and staying in there.
Vexzel has a weakness to anything blessed or holy. But hes not going to surrender just because you have a crucifix or splash him with some holy water. That will hurt, slow his regeneration, but you'll need more. Wounds may heal near instantly at first, but his regeneration will eventually start to weaken. This takes a hell of a long time with normal weapons though.
Now I pointed out there is a seal on his powers a few times already. This generally forces him to hold back against humans and lesser demons. The seal will adjust to the strongest enemy though.
Alignment; Neutral, but despises Mundus.
Affiliation; None..... Yet
Weapons; Detailed description of 'powers' like before. Vexzel is capable of summoning these weapons to him and sending them away for rapid equipment changes. During his 'Devil Trigger' both weapons can be used for a devastating 'finishing move' but that will render the weapon useless for a while.... probably about ten posts.
The Shinigami: img529.imageshack.us/img529/9576/deathscythe.jpg An experimental scythe type Devil Arm, made by forging various metal alloys from Hell and Earth with his own blood. The staff like hilt is about nine feet along, counting the skull. The blade is nearly four and a half feet long. The jagged blade's wing design also sports plenty of cutting edges, a single slash from this scythe causing many different cuts. The Shinigami absorbs the blood from its opponents; Vexzel is capable of using the stored blood as food later.
The weapon's 'aura' rejects anyone other than Vexzel, lashing out at anyone touching the weapon with a darkness based demonic energy. The longer you keep holding it, the stronger and more damaging the energy becomes.
While Vexzel is Unsealed, the Shinigami is capable of stealing the enemy's demonic (or vampiric and human magics) power. Every slash weakening a demon's power as it wounds the body. This normally has no effect on lesser demons, but a high demon will find their elemental powers weakening with each hit. Humans (vampires, hybrids etc) capable of using magic/elemental powers will be likewise weakened. The stolen energy is used to activate the Shinigami's 'Naglfar'
Naglfar translates as "Nail Ship" and is a harbinger of the Nose Apocalypse Ragnarok.
When using Naglfar, the Shinigami absorbs the energy it has gathered into its own demonic aura. Vexzel is vulnerable for a few moments before using this.... but if you aren't fast enough you'll be caught point-blank in the ensuing attack. With a single slash it releases the absorbed energy, along with a great deal of Vexzel's own power, in a massive wave. Naglfar increases in power with every wound Vexzel inflicted with Shinigami while Unsealed. Using Naglfar will overload the Shinigami, rendering near useless as a weapon for a period of time.
Of course if too much energy is absorbed into Naglfar the Shinigami could be totally destroyed.
Devil Arms Zaha'Gral: img826.imageshack.us/img826/2341/algol.png A Devil Arms formed from the soul of a two-headed serpent demon. The sword is chill to the touch and can flash-freeze its victims limbs while letting its wielder use basic ice-spells.
Normally takes the form of a claymore type sword but can separate at the hilt and form to smaller blades. Vexzel generally wields Zaha'Gral as a pair of one-handed swords. The blades can generate ice which is then either hurled as icicle projectiles, used as a shield or capable of freezing over the ground, walls, and/or opponents. The ice-generation ability can only be used once every few minutes (3 posts)
While Vexzel is unsealed, Zaha'Gral can make more ice once every 2 posts; and grants access to the deadly 'Fimbulvetr'. Fimbulvetr translates as "The Great Winter" from Norse Mythology.
Fimbulvetr takes about half a minute to ready, generally signaled by Vexzel sheathing both swords at his sides as they begin to glow with a bright blue demonic aura. Once fired, it engulfs a large conical area in front of Vexzel in a small glacier, capturing anything in its path. While the victim is trapped Vexzel reforms Zaha'Gral as a claymore. Followed by a demonically charged slashed that will shatter the glacier into a rain of icy needles surrounding anything trapped inside
Fimbulvetr is only usable while Vexzel is unsealed, even then you can run out of range.
Tachi: img62.imageshack.us/img62/6119/tachi.jpg An unnamed Japanese-style long sword. No supernatural powers with this one, its only claim to fame is being re-forged for better durability. When he doesn't need a Devil Arms or is 'playing nice' for the sake of a human opponent, this is what he whips out.
Pistols: Because it gets annoying to swat everything out of reach with his shadow power, Vexzel still summons up a pair of 10 bullet clip handguns every so often. There is really nothing special about them other that he summons ammo clips.
History; Vexzel doesn't remember his human origins clearly, a few centuries of life have that effect on a man. What he does remember is a little village in Germany in the late 1700s... probably around 1760. He only made it to age 20 as a human. Germany was still a part of the Holy Roman Empire back then. Demons were not really an issue then, bandits were still able to leave the village in flames though. He was still alive after beings stabbed a few times during a failed attempt to fight back..... Which left a bandit on the ground with a pitchfork in his guts, and a few others wounded with various farm tools. Alive enough for the vampiress Lariza to find anyway.
Turning into a vampire was enough to heal the physical wounds; things still went downhill from there. Life was downright depressing for a few years, though following a vampiric witch around like a lost puppy also meant things were never boring. He decided to abandon his original name Adrian, considering he'd died, and just didn't want the memories attached to it. Vexzel's personality changed drastically over the years. Lariza and his adopted 'siblings' other vampires made by her, didn't help that much. Still..... it was a great opportunity to learn, and the Vampire lifestyle made Vexzel plenty thirsty for even a fraction of the power his 'Mother' wielded.
The Processes through which the undead develop such 'magic' powers are vague at best. With age? From so much blood and death? Sheer force of will? Either way Vexzel could make the Darkness, the shadows do what he wanted by the time he was reaching a century of age. He later gained similar power over blood, and even Necromancy. Lariza saw fit to place a curse on her 'son' when he was nearing 250 years of age... Weakening his now well-developed powers, at least enough to keep him from going postal and wiping out a city or two.
Life was a slightly uneventful globe-trotting affair.... until Mundus conquered the human world and screwed everything up. Vexzel made his mark during the war between Mundus and Humanity. A High Demon of Ice, a creature like a giant two-headed serpent came into the town he was staying in at the time. Vexzel as fed up with demons and picked a fight with it to test his newly made Shinigami. Vexzel killed the demon Zaha'Gral and claimed a legitimate left behind as it perished. He simply kept the same name for the sword, and could swear he heard the snake-demon's voice congratulating him as he picked up the frozen blade.
For the time during the brief Conquest of the human world to the merger of worlds Vexzel ekpt relatively hidden, studying the Devil Arms...... and gaining a new ambition in life. Mundus must die. Vexzel can't count how many times he’s thought that anymore. He may kill humans every week or so as food, but Mundus took things to a level of pain and suffering that even he found revolting. For now its time to scout what world was left in the demon's wake, and find his chance to kill the 'Demon King' and maybe restore some peace to this cesspool of a world..... Or at least kill a S#%^-load of demons trying.
