Name; Syrissin
Nicknames; Syri, The Cradle, the Scarlett Thunder, Storm Weaver, The Harbinger
Age; 824 (looks 22)
Place of birth; Temen-Ni-Gru
Species; Demon
Physical appearance; Standing around six foot two Syrissin is built like a warrior. Lean and cut his body is marked by several scars. His eyes are completely red and his raven black hair is falls to the middle of his back and a black goatee frames his lips and chin. Black and silver metal greaves and battle gauntlets are on his fists and legs, similar to the Beowulf Devil Arm. He openly admits that he was inspired by Dante when he and Vergil clashed in his home, when he created the greaves and gauntlets. He also wears a coat similar to Vergil’s, the style of the coat is obviously inspired by the former Dark Slayer but it is black and silver and much more ragged, the sleeves ripped off and a hood added to it despite it’s still elegantly designed. Black leather pants tucked into black combat boots and an ornate vest with a silver rose on it gives a nod to his mother, the Lightning Witch Nevan. He also wears a ring a human friend gave to him after saving their life, before Mundus combined the two worlds.
Personality; He tends to be sarcastic and a slight temper but he is colder hearted when angered. He tends to be a gentleman, even to his enemies but when it comes to it in a fight he's arrogant and very aggravating. But underneath his confident demeanor and punk attitude there is the mind of a true intellect. Highly intelligent, a master strategist and artisan, Syrissin is highly complex and is usually found deep in thought mulling over many thing within his mind. He holds a soft spot for humanity unlike many of his kin, and believes that Sparda was in the right for defending humanity. He hopes to free the two worlds from Mundus’ tyranny but knows that he has a long way to go. Despite these feelings his heritage sometimes gets the better of him and he comes across as a bit of a play boy. He also holds a strict code of honor, similar to that of the samurai. Honor and family are his highest priority, and since his mother was slain anyone he considers a friend is his family.
Abilities; He is exceptionally fast, and his strength his also impressive and can recover from most wounds quickly. He has heightened hearing and smell as well. Syrissin’s elemental abilities are in casting lightning and channeling them into his weaponry and even around himself to create armor. After many years of training he can also use minor spells, like minor locating spells to track his quarry. His greatest ability though seems to be lightning based teleportation and summoning thunderstorms and ravens, similar to the abilities of his mother. He can also manipulate shadows like his mother although he doesn’t do it often. He is also a trained martial artist and relishes close combat
Techniques:
Susanoo:
channels a great amount of his trade mark scarlett lightning and combines it with his storm summoning and slashes to create a large vortex of lightning slashes (similiar to Vergil's Judgement Cut) this is the slowest of his techniques but does the most damage. Named after the Japanese storm and sea diety.
Tsukuyomi:
The second fastest of his techniques that has one critical weakness if the attack is dodged it is possible to counter it due to a large opening during the attack. Syrissin channels his lightning through his body and uses it to speed up his draw as he uses a Battôjutsu technique. It's three part but one fluid movement as he draws the blade, slashes and sheathes it. When he uses Tsukuyomi the speed is enough to "cut" through the sound barrier and the heat produced from the lightning itself causes a slight shimmer to the naked eye. Named after the Japanese Moon Goddess
Amaterasu:
This technique employs both of his blades as he cross slashes and suddenly pours his electric energy into in one blast causing a heat flash as he strikes. It is his mid level technique, neither stronger nor faster than the other two aforementioned techniques. Named after the Japanese Sun Goddess
Izanami:
This technique is Syrissin's most dangerous technique for him to use due to it's sacrifical nature. He used it only once and nearly died as a result. Syrissin overcharges himself with the natura lighhtning of his blades and a storm he summons increasing his speed to nigh impossible speeds aong with his own energy. However its cost is extremely high, the speed he moves are too much for his muscles and they rip and the tendons tear with every movement made so it is used in only a suicidal last attack. The energy also burns him inside and it took months for him to fully recover from using the technique. Named after the Japanese deity of death
Izanagi: Technique used to bring people from the brink of death. He uses his electric current to restart the heart of someone similiar to a defib unit. Named after the god of life.
Fûjin:
The fastest Technique in Syrissin's arsenal. It could be considered a one hit kill but the tell tale smell of ozone before he is a bout to strike wil give someone the opportunity to dodge. using his lightning based teleportation he teleports himself multiple times around the opponent and executes his Tsukuyomi technique the various stages of the single slash actual hit multiple angles due to how rapidly he teleports. One can avoid it with a well placed dodge or roll due to the fact he can't change the course of the attack due to it's speed. Named after the Japanese God of wind
Alignment; Good
Affiliation; The Rebellion
Weapons; his custom crafted greaves and gauntlets, made of the metals found within the scythes of the Hell Vanguards, they glow a sot purple at times. His uchigatana and its matching wakizashi (Kirin and Raijin) are both named after Japanese mythological beings that involves lightning and thunder. The blades amplify his ability to cast lightning and are elementally charged with lightning. He is also familiar with human fire arms but prefers to use his lightning or summoning if attacking at a distance is his only option. He has multiple attacks he names after the Japanese deities.
History; The son of Nevan, Syrissin grew up in Temen Ni Gru. He was trained by Agni and Rudra in swordsmanship and would talk to them for hours. Nevan would teach him about.... manners so to speak. Time went by, Syrissin often battling with Beowulf, or large numbers of the lesser demons and then the tower erupted into the human realm and all of a sudden, he was forced to hide. He met Vergil and Arkham and was instructed further by Vergil in swordsmanship. When Dante, Vergil's twin brother entered the tower and defeated his mother, Syrissin grabbed his blades in order to defeat the slayer of his family. But when he learned of Rudra and Agni's defeat he decided to watch instead. He followed Dante up until he was swallowed by the Leviathan. When he found out a year later that Dante was alive he left the then ruined tower to search for the legendary man. Finding out that he had been slain by Mundus on Mallet Island Syrissin immediately took off towards his old home in Temen-Ni-Gru, but to his dismay it was completely reduced and used to merge the two worlds. Syrissin solemnly made a vow to restore the two worlds that very day and left in search of the one person he believed could save them, Vergil. After a couple weeks of going through his old contacts he discovered that Vergil too had been slain on Mallet Island and Sparda’s power destroyed. Syrissin is now searching for a way to subvert and destroy Mundus, as well as separate his home the Human Realm from the land of his ancestors.
