No! No! I can’t die yet! Not yet!
Zira saw the light and naturally thought it was the end. Karma really was a bitch wasn’t she? To just let her die with unfinished business and in such a pitiful way too. The Dark Princess couldn’t say she didn’t deserve it though. But just when she thought she had breathed her last Zira suddenly found herself on the ground again, able to draw breath just moments after the man in white had attempted to cut her off from life. Zira looked back to her sister and the man in white.
“Bastard nearly killed me.”
While getting back up to her feet Zira’s hands began to glow. They pressed up against the snow and only seconds later did intense burning flames rise up underneath the man in white’s feet threatening to burn him alive where he stood. The Dark Princess used her speed to get as far away from the devil as she could without completely leaving the area. Close quarters wasn’t a good idea at this time. She wasn’t leaving without Amoura though.

You're a strange creature.... aren't you...
Amoura lowered her hand and tilted her eyes down, watching her own action. Strange creature? Was she truly that much out of the norm? "Maybe so," she, finally, replied and raised her eyes to his level. Me? Strange? Says the man who's face is forever trapped in a frown.
Flames erupted beneath Validus' feet, and Zira ran a couple hundred yards away to escape anymore attacks he may throw. Amoura stood her ground. There was no point in trying to escape him, because he'll follow. It would make the situation worse if he knew where the human refugee was...
And that is why she stood still.
[Ugh. Poorly written]

It all happened in a flash, the violent combustion erupting beneath the form of the white devil evaporating the very snow at his feet as the ensuing flames engulfed his entire form in a blaze of smoke and rubble, with the intent to bring about his demise.... and to the eye of the beholder, this would have seemed like the end.. but the vampiress knew better... she knew that, which her sister did not. There emerging from the cataclysm of the scene was the raven haired devil... his tall slender form immaculate as ever, with his right hand casually dusting off his left shoulder as if nothing had happened... his piercing gaze of intrigue still firmly locked with hers, but with one distinction.
To any bearing witness this seemed like an utter impossibility... the sheer force of the attack had obliterated the very ground upon which he stood, and yet he remained untouched... and with the one responsible now making her retreat he paid little attention to her at this point... she had served her purpose. In fact the white devil now performed yet another impossible feat.. as he spoke aloud to the vampire... granting what seemed a reply to her very thoughts.
"You think I care about your worthless refugees?... foolish girl... you still do not understand?"
Thus he walked toward his target... his steps slow and steady... the snow crackling underneath his boot heel, his words once again reaching the ears of the seemingly startled female.
"I will have you show me the power buried deep inside you.... one way or the other...."

So, he read her mind. Why didn't that surprise her? What else was he not capable of doing other than feeling emotion or understanding the concept behind a "heart"?
Their gazes locked, but this time, Amoura chose to back up while he walked to her. Was it out of fear? Uncertainty? It was difficult to say. It was unsetting to hear him say he wanted to have her "show" him the powers she had locked away. Amoura didn't even know what said power was. Only when she came close to death did she subconsciously activate it and it provided devastating results--results she didn't want repeated.
"Why the hell do you want to?! For entertainment? I won't provide you with that!"
Amoura's hands reached for her guns but stopped mid-action. What point was there in wasting ammo on something that won't even get scratched?
You really are in a pickle this time, Amoura.
